amazed by apparent lack of self-reflection among many of the people dancing tango, we keep asking ourselves - 'why?' So we decided to make the questions public - the answers, we hope, will come in form of comments or maybe, we hope even more, in form of visible improvements on the dance floor
Oh well, this is THE question...so many people concentrate on the steps and forget about the music they are supposedly dancing to. To me, the music is the most important, and I do not really care if I dance with someone who is just 'walking' the tango as long as it's done to the music. I totally prefer a good interpretation of the music, variation in the rythm of the dance (double times, half-times, pauses) instead of lots of uncoordinated fancy steps and not following the music...MUSIC guys (or leaders)....listen to the music, FEEL the music, feel it...get into it when you are dancing. I'm not a good dancer and therefore good musicality and simple steps do it for me.
